Volkan Hamamcıoğlu
Founder | European Patent Attorney | Turkish Patent & Trademark Attorney | UPC Representative | epi Tutor
He completed his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Yıldız Technical University in 2007, followed by a master’s degree in the same department in 2010. He began his career at Beko as a Patent Engineer in 2011 and served as Patent Team Leader between 2016 and 2021.
He qualified as a Turkish Patent and Trademark Attorney in 2011 and as a European Patent Attorney in 2018. In 2021, he completed the University Diploma on Patent Litigation in Europe programme at the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) of the University of Strasbourg, becoming a representative registered before the Unified Patent Court (UPC). In 2025, he obtained the Qualified Patent Information Professional (QPIP) certification awarded by CEPIUG and the European Patent Administration Certificate (EPAC) awarded by the European Patent Office (EPO).
Between 2019 and 2022, he served as a court-appointed technical expert before the Turkish Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights Courts. In 2021, he founded InPera IP, through which he currently provides intellectual property advisory services. He is currently a coach under the EPO's Candidate Support Project (CSP) for European Qualifying Examination candidates and a tutor at the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (epi) and at Istanbul Bilgi University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. He is a member of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) and a Council member of epi.
Between 2019 and 2022, he worked as a coach in the Candidate Support Project (CSP) of the European Patent Office (EPO) and as a technical expert before the Intellectual Property Courts in Istanbul. He is currently a tutor at the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (epi) and a lecturer at Istanbul Bilgi University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. He is a member at the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) Türkiye and a Counsil Member at the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (epi).
İrem Çağlar Hamamcıoğlu
Co-Founder | Trademark Attorney | IP Strategy and Portfolio Specialist
She graduated from Bilkent University, Department of Economics, in 2007. In the same year, she began her career as a Trademark Attorney at Ankara Patent Bureau, where she gained experience in national and international trademark protection, portfolio management, and client relations.
In 2011, she joined Arçelik A.Ş. and started working in the Intellectual Property Department. Between 2018 and 2026, she held leadership roles in Intellectual Property Portfolio Management, gaining strong experience in team management, strategy development, and decision-making.
During this time, she managed global intellectual property portfolios and played an active role in developing international portfolio strategies, monitoring third-party rights, and handling disputes. She also gained extensive experience in coordinating IP processes across multiple jurisdictions and in financial planning related to IP portfolios.
As of 2026, she is a Co-Founder of InPera IP, where she focuses on leveraging her expertise in IP strategy development, portfolio management, and delivering client-oriented solutions.
She is a member of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).
Selin Özel
Turkish & European Patent Attorney
Selin Özel graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Ege University and began her career in the field of intellectual property, developing extensive expertise in patent law through her experience in consultancy, technology transfer, and corporate environments. With both in-house and consultancy experience, she has provided end-to-end support for R&D, innovation, and patent strategies across various industries, actively working on patent drafting and prosecution, freedom-to-operate analyses, patent strategy development, and dispute-related matters.
Having qualified as a Turkish Patent Attorney in 2017 and a European Patent Attorney in 2023, Selin Özel was also awarded the Qualified Patent Information Professional (QPIP) title in 2025. She currently focuses on patent strategies, patent analytics, and international patent procedures, combining her technical background with legal expertise to provide strategic intellectual property consultancy to clients.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esra Hamamcıoğlu
Consultant
Esra Hamamcıoğlu graduated from the Faculty of Law of Marmara University and completed her master's and PhD degrees at the Institute of Social Sciences (Private Law) of Marmara University.
Hamamcioglu has articles published in various magazines and actively works on trademark, design and copyright issues. She is a member of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) Turkey.
